At ROPE, people – not equipment – make the critical difference. The right people, highly trained and working as a team, will accomplish the mission with the equipment available. On the other hand, the best equipment in the world cannot compensate for a lack of the right people.
A small number of people, carefully selected, well trained, and well led, are preferable to larger numbers of troops, some of whom may not be up to the task. The same concepts are applied when chosing a ROPE Coach to assist with your goals.
It takes years to train operational units to the level of proficiency needed to accomplish difficult and specialized SOF missions. Intense training – both in SOF schools and units – is required to integrate competent individuals into fully capable units. ROPE takes this specilized experience and uses to add immense value to your organization.
Creation of competent, fully mission capable units takes time. Employment of fully capable special operations capability on short notice requires highly trained and constantly available SOF units in peacetime. We apply these same principles to the cyclical market associate with Oil & Gas.

I had the pleasure of working with Russell on the vessel West Neptune, where he came onboard to assist in an incident investigation. Russell performed in a very professional way in helping the West Neptune personnel to get engaged in the reenactment of the incident. This process allowed us to discover the human factors that were associated with the incident (injury). We also gained a tremendous amount of information and insight in learning about ourselves to become better crew members and ultimately better leaders. During the investigation the Leadership onboard learned a new direction to better incident investigation and fact gathering. Russell has a quality about him that allows him to connect with personnel not just as a group but on a one-on-one basis.
The process that Russell instructed us to perform was beneficial in being used in future incident investigations. We appreciate the knowledge we learned during the time he was onboard and would most definitely invite him back for future Safety Leadership training.
